The Undeniably Best Spring Time Travel Destinations
Spring travel bucket list (you’re gonna be obsessed too!)
Spring travel idea 1: Washington, D.C.
Springtime in Washington, D.C. is all about the cherry blossoms!!
The city comes alive guys with pink and white blooms during the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Which, BTW, is held from late March to early April. The Tidal Basin, with its stunning views of the Jefferson Memorial framed by cherry trees, is one of the most iconic springtime sights in the U.S.
I am so thankful that back in 2017 I got the opportunity to see DC in the spring time and it was honestly as beautiful as I could have dreamed it would be! Unfortunately it was an era before I got better at photography and talking travel pictures in general-

Spring travel idea 2: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam in the spring means tulip season, and no place does tulips better than the Netherlands.
My personal dream would be to short trip from the city will take you to Keukenhof Gardens, where over seven million tulips burst into color between March and May. The city itself is also less crowded than in summer too which is awesome and making it a great time to explore its canals and museums.
Spring travel idea 3: Charleston, South Carolina
Charleston’s historic streets look even more charming in the spring, with azaleas, magnolias, and wisteria (my fav!) in full bloom. Spring also brings perfect temperatures, ideal for strolling the cobblestone streets, visiting historic plantations, or enjoying fresh seafood by the waterfront.
Another one that I am so thankful to have been able to experience. Personally I get a little overwhelmed too around the Charleston downtown in the summer time so spring is nice to avoid some of those growing crowds too!

Spring travel idea 4: Kyoto, Japan
Of course this had to be on the list!
Spring in Kyoto is pure magic, thanks to its world-famous sakura (known in the US as cherry blossom) season. From late March to mid-April, Kyoto’s temples, gardens and even the riversides are covered in the stunning pink blossoms. One of the best spots to see them is Maruyama Park, where people gather for picnics under the trees, known as hanami celebrations.
Unlike other destinations though this is one that is KNOWN for spring season so expect normal to higher levels of crowds if you’re going to Kyoto during cherry blossom season.
Spring travel idea 5: Vancouver, Canada
Didn’t expect to see on Canada on here did ya?
Spring in Vancouver is the best of both worlds because my friends, you can still ski in the nearby mountains while cherry blossoms bloom across the city. The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates the arrival of over 40,000 cherry trees, making it a great time to explore the city’s many parks, including Stanley Park and Queen Elizabeth Park.
Clearly I am a sucker for a good cherry blossom vibe in the spring time lol!
Spring travel idea 6: Asheville, North Carolina
Asheville’s Blue Ridge Mountains are breathtaking in the spring, with wildflowers blooming along the trails and the ICONIC Biltmore Estate gardens bursting with color. The temperatures are mild, making it a great time for hiking, brewery hopping, and exploring this artsy mountain town.
Plus, as a NC resident, please go and support western North Carolina- the hotels, breweries, etc that are up and running again after the horrific hurriance last year need our support and tourism!!

Spring travel idea 7: San Diego, California
Spring is one of the best times to visit San Diego, as the weather is warm but not too hot, and the famous Carlsbad Flower Fields are in full bloom. Spring also means gray whale migration season, giving visitors a great chance to spot these majestic creatures off the coast.
This is high up on my bucket list so let me know if you’ve been to San Diego in the spring and any recommendations!
Spring travel idea 8: Savannah, Georgia
Savannah’s Spanish moss-covered trees and cobblestone streets are always dreamy, but in spring, the city comes alive with blooming azaleas and dogwoods. The mild temperatures make it a perfect time to explore Forsyth Park, historic mansions and you can’t skip out on the amazing riverfront dining.
Spring travel idea 9: Rome, Italy
Rome in the spring means fewer crowds, mild weather, and blooming wisteria vines draping over historic ruins. The city’s gardens, like Villa Borghese and the Orange Garden, are at their peak beauty. It’s also the perfect season to enjoy outdoor dining without the summer heat.
This is another one I am SO glad I got to experience in the spring time-

Spring travel idea 10: Dublin, Ireland
Spring is the best time to visit Ireland, as the countryside turns an even deeper shade of green, and the city comes alive with St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. The weather is mild, and there are fewer tourists, making it a great time to explore Trinity College, Temple Bar, and Dublin Castle. Haven’t gotten there yet myself but am thankful to have tons of travel loving friends who insisted that Dublin in the spring is a must see for this list!
